The Beatles Releases The Last Song "Now And Then"

Leslie Cheung about 1 year ago

After the cryptic teaser message yesterday, The Beatles has announced that they will release their last song “Now And Then” on November 2. The original home recording demo was originally recorded by John Lennon circa 1980, and given to Paul McCartney by Yoko Ono in the 1990s. The three remaining Beatles tried to record overdubs on the demo recording in 1994 and 1995, but had to pass on the idea of releasing the song along with “Free As A Bird” and “Real Love” due to technical limitation back then. Jump to 2021, Peter Jackson, who directed The Beatles: Get Back docuseries, and his team helped on de-mixing and cleaning up the “Now And Then” demo, paving way for Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr to finish the song in 2022. To learn more about the background of the song, please check out our The Beatles website for more.

“Now And Then” will be released as double A-side single, along with the band's first single “Love Me Do”, on November 2 on stereo and Dolby Atmos. Best-of compilations 1962-1966 and 1967-1970, aka The Red and Blue albums, will be expanded with 21 songs (12 on Red and 9 on Blue), including “Now And Then”, will be released on November 10, on 4CD, 6LP sets and digital in stereo and Dolby Atmos.
