Jarvis Played Debut UK Solo Gig

Jarvis Cocker played his first UK solo gig at London's KOKO on Wednesday (November 15) with his live band including former Pulp bandmate bassist Steve Mackey and former Relaxed Muscle bandmate Richard Hawley on guitar.

He played through songs from his album Jarvis and Pulp's keyboard player Candida Doyle joined the band to perform "From Auschwitz To Ipswich".

Before launching into the encore, Jarvis teased that they were going to play an old song, but then clarify that the number is not one of his and played a cover of David Bowie song "Space Oddity".
