Bee Gees' singer, Robin Gibbs, has died at the of 62 after battle with cancer on Sunday (May 20, UK time).

His family said in a statement, "The family of Robin Gibb, of the Bee Gees, announce with great sadness that Robin passed away today following his long battle with cancer and intestinal surgery. The family have asked that their privacy is respected at this very difficult time."

Robin Gibbs began his music career in 1958 when he formed Bee Gees with twin brother Maurice and older brother Barry. The group released many pop classics like "Stayin' Alive", "How Deep Is Your Love", "Words", "How Can You Mend A Broken Heart", "First Of May" and more.

On April 14, it was reported that he went into a coma in hopsital after contracting pneumonia. Then, on April 20 it was reported that he came out of his coma.
