Donna Summer, the Queen of Disco, has passed away on the morning of May 17 after battle with cancer. She was 63. Her family released a statement, saying Summer died on Thursday morning and that they "are at peace celebrating her extraordinary life and her continued legacy. Words truly can't express how much we appreciate your prayers and love for our family at this sensitive time."

The 70s music legend is best known for her hits like "I Feel Love", "Last Dance", "Bad Girls" and "Hot Stuff". She was a five-time Grammy Award winner, and the first artist to have three consecutive double albums reach number one on the US Billboard chart. She also charted four number-one singles in the US within a 13-month period.
