Dead Can Dance Releases New Album In 16 Years

Dead Can Dance is set to release a new album of all-new material on August 9. This will be their first album since 1996's Spiritchaser. Brendan Perry and Lisa Gerrard discussed the possibility of the new album last Autumn, and they reunited earlier this year in Ireland to record the new album.

Brendan Perry says, "Lisa and myself are genuinely excited to be working together again in the studio. It will be a spring album to coincide with both nature's awakening and the group's subsequent rebirth."

However, no other details have been revealed on the new album.

On the same date as the album released, the duo will begin their reunion world tour in Vancouver. After the North America leg, they will tour Europe, and they promised they will announce additional shows in South America, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia.
