Shirley Manson Goes Solo

Garbage frontwoman Shirley Manson has been joined by Jack White (The White Stripes), Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins) and Paul Buchana (The Blue Nile) to record her first solo album, which is expected to be released in 2007.

While Garbage is on a hiatus, a best of compilation, Absolute Garbage is due out on March 19, with a yet-untitled track.
