We're sorry we didn't tell you this earlier, but here it is. Ex-Million Dead vocalist Frank Turner will be playing Rockschool tonight (May 7). Tickets are already available at Rockschool and White Noise Records, and they are priced at HK$180.The Winchester folk and punk singer-songwriter initially fronted the post-punk band Million Dead, but moved onto an acoustic solo career when the band split up in 2005. He has released three solo albums, Sleep Is For The Week (2007), Love Ire & Song (2008) and the most recent one, Poetry Of The Deed (2009). His music has reminded the editors over Q Magazine of "a latter days Billy Bragg."
Joining him to perform tonight will be an up-and-rising star in New York music scene, singer-songwriter McKenzie Eddy. She has worked with Disco Biscuits and rapper Curren$y and is currently writing and recording her debut solo album.
This will be the first stop of the 7 cities he toured in China this year.
