Florian Schneider Leaves Kraftwerk

After 40 years together, it was announced on Kraftwerk's fansite, Technopop, that Florian Schneider has left Kraftwerk and ended his long musical partnership with Ralf Hütter. The duo was part of the experimental quintet Organisation, and they formed Kraftwerk in 1970. Since then, Kraftwerk has released 11 studio albums and 1 live album and is often regarded as pioneer and huge influence of modern electronic music.

Florian Schneider did not appear in the lineup of the band's 2008 tour and Kraftwerk will continue without him with this year's tour.
