Swedish band Club 8 and Pelle Carlberg played a very cosy double live bill tonight at Auditorium at HITEC, Kowloon Bay. Club 8 is the first act and they played for about 50 minutes. Vocalist Karolina Komstedt talked about the cold weather in Beijing and Shanghei, and said she likes to be in the warm weather here. Between "Love In December" and "Hope For Winter", Karolina said, "We are going to play another winter song." During the song "This Is The Morning", Pelle Carlberg showed up right next to us and taking photos of Club 8 on stage. Before launching into "Saturday Night Engine", guitarist Johan Angergård said "The next song is the closest Club 8 get to rock music!" and bring on the poweful number, and much rockier than the studio version.

After a short intermission, Pelle Carlberg is on stage. However, there was a little accident when he finished one of the songs. During the last chord of this, the guitar slipped off his hand and crashed onto the floor. The damage was pretty bad and it cannot be used on the coming dates of the tour. We hope Pelle can get the guitar repaired very soon! He reminded us about use of the words "Hong Kong" in "The Hit Song" and everyone went wild. Another high point is during "Go To Hell, Miss Rydell" when he explained it is a song in reply to a bad review for an Edson album. He played some Edson songs and a 3-song encore.
