Director Michael Haneke's Happy End is a narrative challenging variation of its predecessor Amour. Like Amour, Happy End is a story about facing death, and it is even more depressing when family members have each of their own secrets. Among all of these, the grand-daughter Eve (Fantine Harduin) who is seeing things through strangers eyes is the most chilling part of it all. The narrative structure follows his 2000's Code Unknown, showing you fragments of story from time to time, which may be a bit challenging for audience to follow the story, but it is a fitting structure for us social media users who often see glimpse of other people's life through clips.
