Unsane 2018

Unsane tells a psycho-thriller story of a business woman (Claire Foy) has to fight for her sanity and safety after being involuntarily admitted to a mental institution. The film is directed by Steven Soderbergh and shot entirely on an iPhone 7 Plus in 4K. This experiment to shot the whole film on phone pays off, as this adds realistic texture and unease feelings to the film.

We often wonder how a normal sane person can prove that he or she is normal if involuntarily admitted to a mental institution, and the film exposes how helpless and frustrating this situation can be and we felt for it. After all, Alfred Hitchcock told us years ago that "we all go a little mad sometimes". When you add a delusional stalker to the set up, this is a very, very frightening situation.
