The reboot series of Planet Of The Apes has reached the final chapter of the first trilogy, and as the title suggests, this is war between human race and simian race. However, if you expect this to be a series of explosions or action, you would be mistaken, there are two main battle scenes - the opening guerrilla battle in forrest and the ending warfare. The main battle happens in the psychology on both sides, and leads to a more character driven story. As the story unfolds, you feel Caesar's (Andy Serkis) rage, and you understand The Colonel's (Woody Harrelson) "logic". There are different sides to each characters. The addition of Steve Zahn's Bad Ape offers comic relief to this emotional story.
War takes many elements - characters and even soundtrack scores - from the original 1968 Planet Of The Apes and its sequel 1970's Beneath The Planet Of The Apes (which you need to find out in cinema or our spoiler filled review on website), and those help leading to the final natural outcome. You can say War bridge the gap between the reboot and original series, you can also say War will lead to a new Planet Of The Apes, because there are many possibilities from here onwards.
No doubt that War is the best Planet Of The Apes film ever.
