'Eight Days A Week' is a good reminder how exciting The Beatles' music can be, and a good introduction for people who don't know the band well as it covers the Beatlemania years from 1957 (mainly about 1962 to 1966) and into recording 'Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' in 1967. For me, the emotional bit is to see it includes 2 songs from their last public performance - the rooftop concert in 1969. (Does that mean a remastered 'Let It Be' film is around the corner?)
The remastered Shea Stadium performance is a great opportunity for people like me who is born after the Beatles disbanded to feel what a Beatles concert is about, and there is a freshness in seeing them performing live in concert.
Even though it is about the band who rocked the world 50 years ago, it is a timeless story about how 4 talented young people give the world their amazing creative force.
