The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug 2013

The first chapter of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was a bit long walk and talk similar to the introductory chapter of The Lord Of The Rings: The Fellowship Of The Ring. When it came to The Two Towers, the plot becomes tense. That’s my expectation of The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug, and it does deliver more action and adventure bits than the last chapter. The plot also grows thicker as the Dragon Smaug is finally revealed on the big screen and Gandalf ventures off to seek the where-about of Dark Lord Sauron. Also, we can see more about the Hobbit Bilbo Baggins' ability (or inability) to resist the Ring, which gives some depths to the Hobbit and the powerful One Ring. The finale sequence and cliffhanger ending make us dying to know what will happen to the people of the Lake-town and the reuniting of Dwarves armies. Overall, The Desolation Of Smaug lives up to its expectation and gives the series a push before the grand finale next year in There And Back Again.
