<b><i>The X-Files 2</i></b> Is Coming

Chris Carter, creator of the famous sci-fi TV series during the late-90s - The X-Files, is making the second X-Files film. David Duchovny and Gillian Anderson will reprise their role as FBI Special Agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully.

The TV drama went off air in 2002 and now 6 years later (and 10 years after the first film), the second film (currently without an official title) will hit US and British cinemas in July and August. The storyline of the film will drop the "mythology conspiracy". So there will probably be no alien living among this film. Chris also admitted to USA Today that he wants to make a stand-alone movie in this one.

"We spent a lot of time on (the mythology) and wrapped up a lot of threads," says Chris Carter. "We want a stand-alone movie, not a mythology conspiracy one."
