DC Studios Announces First Chapter Of Films & TV Series

Today, co-Chairmen and CEOs of DC Studios, director James Gunn and producer Peter Safran have announced the first slates of films and TV series of the new DCU cinematic universe, dubbed as Gods and Monsters. The first chapter includes 5 films and 5 HBO Max series.

Featuring Rick Flag, Sr., Nina Mazursky, Doctor Phosphorus, Frankenstein/Eric Frankenstein, The Bride of Frankenstein, G.I. Robot and Weasel. - Waller (Live action TV series)
Featuring Viola Davis as Amanda Waller in a series taking place between Peacemaker S1 & S2. - Superman: Legacy (Live action film)
Featuring new actor as Superman with tentative US release date is July 11, 2025. - Lanterns (Live action TV series)
Featuring Green Lanterns Hal Jordan and John Stewart. - The Authority (Live action film)
Featuring the WildStorm superhero team. - Paradise Lost (Live action TV series)
Wonder Woman prequel series about the Amazons. - The Brave and the Bold (Live action film)
Featuring new actor as Batman and Robin/Damian Wayne. - Booster Gold (Live action TV series)
- Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (Live action film)
Based on Tom King's comic of same name. - Swamp Thing (Live action film)
Finally! An origin film about Swamp Thing
The slates of films and TV series will sit in same singular DCU, while Matt Reeves's The Batman - Part II and Todd Phillips's Joker: Folie à Deux will be part of the DC Elseworlds (which shares the same name with its comic counterpart that comprises of story based on DC characters but in different story settings).
