Tenet Delayed, Dropped Out Of Schedule, And Back Again

Christopher Nolan's Tenet is now scheduled to release internationally from August 26. The film was originally schedule to open in Hong Kong on July 16, but delayed to July 30 due to coronavirus pandemic, then delayed again to August 12, and now August 27, only if our cinemas reopen before then (Hong Kong cinemas close down again from July 15 to 28 tentatively). It will also open in Taiwan on the same date.
Coronavirus pandemic is causing some cinemas in lock-down areas to close in the past few months. With this unprecedented challenge, Hollywood studios are pushing back tent-poles releases to later this year or 2021, or even release them directly onto VOD. Tenet is now going to be the first major release during this crisis.
