Director Wong Kar-Wai's first English film, My Blueberry Nights, finally premiers in Hong Kong tonight (January 2). The premier was held at HKCEC. Instead of leading actress, Norah Jones, who had visited Shanghai last week, many Asian actors and actresses turned up at the premier, including Tony Leung, Carina Lau and Chang Chen, whom all had worked with the director previously in various films.

The premier started off with a brief interview with the director and screening of the TVC, which was directed by him as well, for Philips TV set.

The audience cheered him with thunder of clapping when he entered the theatre hall before the screening and after the film is finished.

The film is well-received by critics and will open in Hong Kong cinemas tomorrow (January 3).
