La Vie En Rose is a film about France's beloved singer Edith Piaf.

Edith Piaf was born Edith Giovanna Gassion on December 19, 1915 in Paris, France, and her mother worked as a cafe singer and her father was a well-known travelling acrobat. Released her first album in 1935. Her signature song, "La Vie En Rose", was written by Edith during in the middle of the German occupation of France in World War II. She died of cancer in Cannes on October 11, 1963. Today she is still remembered and revered as one of the greatest singers France has ever produced.

The film has been shown in cinemas in Hong Kong since last Thursday. The film is often regarded as "the most exciting and ambitious project of French Cinema in 2007."
