Andrew Garfield Is Spider-Man

It is announced yesterday (July 2) in Cancun, Mexico that the 26-year-old British actor Andrew Garfield will be the new amazing Spider-Man in the new reboot scheduled in 2012. The announcement was made by producers Avi Arad and Laura Ziskin, along with Spider-Man director Marc Webb.

"Though his name may be new to many, those who know this young actor's work understand his extraordinary talents," said Webb in a statement. "He has a rare combination of intelligence, wit and humanity. Mark my words, you will love Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker."

Andrew Garfield has been playing parts in several films now, like Lions For Lambs (2007), The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus (2009) and will work along with Keira Knightley and Carey Mulligan on Never Let Me Go (2010) and David Fincher's The Social Network (2010).
