IMAX Hong Kong Opening in June

Canadian company IMAX, which is famous for 3D cinema technology, will team up with UA Cinemas Line and establish the Hong Kong's first IMAX 3D cinema in June this year.

The location will be MegaBox in Kowloon Bay and the cost is HKD$160 millions. After completion, there will be 274 seats and a dome-shaped screen. Spider-Man 3 or Harry Potter And The Order Of Phoenix are expected to be the first movies to be shown in the new IMAX Cinema.

The current ticket price of the UA Cinemas line is HKD$50 on average, and the IMAX ticket price will be HKD$90. A second IMAX Cinema is expected to be built in 3 years according to the UA Cinemas Line.
