American actress, Brittany Murphy, died of cardiac arrest at her home in L.A. on yesterday (December 20). She suffered from a cardiac arrest in the early Sunday morning in the L.A. home that she and her husband shared. She was subsequently transported to hospital but, unfortunately, was pronounced dead on arrival.

She appeared in a number of films including Clueless (1995), Girl, Interrupted (1999), Cherry Falls (2000), Don't Say A Word (2001), 8 Mile (2002), Sin City (2005) and provided the voice over work for Gloria in Happy Feet (2006). She also appears in The Expendables (2010) to be released next year.
