1950s legendary pin-up girl, Bettie Page, has died of pneumonia in Los Angeles on Thursday (December 11). She was hospitalised in critical condition on December 6 after suffering from a heart attack.

Although loved by magazines since the early 1950s and fans across USA, Bettie's Hollywood career never took off. She appeared in three burlesque pictures, Striporama (1953), Varietease (1954) and Teaserama (1955), as well as a bunch of 8mm peepshow reels. These reels were released in various DVD in the last few years. She disappeared from public eye in 1959 and became a born-again Christian. Her attractive smile and outlook has kept her old fans following and new fans worshiping. In 2005, Hollywood also paid tribute to her with the film The Notorious Bettie Page.
