The expert cameraman, Shizuka Miyakonojo (Masaharu Fukuyama), has snapped several legendary scoop photos in the past. However, his amazing career is barely known among the current magazine editors. Due to a certain event in his past, Shizuka has lost his passion for news photography, and has now become a paparazzi that specializes in celebrity scandals. For several years, he’s lived a self-destructive live until one day, when he is faced with a turning point in his life. By coincidence, Shizuka is forced to pair with Nobi Namekawa (Fumi Nikaido), a rookie reporter for the weekly tabloid photo magazine, "SCOOP!" As expected, Shizuka and Nobi don't get along at all, and keep arguing. However, this uneven duo surprisingly become super-successful, and get several exclusive scoops! Sales of "SCOOP!" increase healthily. Around the time the relationship between the two begins to show signs of change, the entire country's attention is fixated on a major incident...
