Fever 2014

At the beginning of Fever, two Parisian high school kids, Damien (Martin Loizillon) and Pierre (Pierre Moure), strangle a woman who is "too beautiful to die". The two teenagers don't know the victim. Has this "crime without motive" merely happened by chance? On the other hand, Zoe (Julie-Marie Parmentier), the optician in the neighbourhood, bumps into them as they leave the crime scene. Since then, the teenage murderers who follow chance and women are being followed. They often contemplate philosophical questions and reflect upon the genocide guilt of WWII. Are they the embodiment of what Hannah Arendt calls "the banality of evil" or the Freudian return of the repressed family history?
