Recently laid off, Jérôme (Olivier Gourmet) remains ambitiously hopeful: he aims to reinvent himself as a retail entrepreneur, even at the cost of estrangement from his wife (Valeria Bruni Tedeschi). Meanwhile, his 11-year-old son Ugo (Charles Mérienne), a budding tennis champion, focuses on qualifying at a prestigious training centre.
